Questions and answers about the treatment

  • For a first session we will do a consultation to get a full picture of your health, hence why the first session is 15 minutes longer. Follow-up appointments will begin with a check-in about how you are and any changes that have occurred.

Typically the treatment itself is around 50 minutes.

For reflexology, treatments take place on a massage table (lying or sitting down) with your shoes and socks off.

For massage, I will leave the room whilst you get changed and settled on the table. Depending on the areas to focus on, you could lie on your front, back or side - all with your agreement.

We can change music, lighting settings, windows open etc based on your preferences.

  • For reflexology, you will just need to take your shoes and socks off. It can be helpful to wear trousers / leggings that can be rolled up to work on the ankles and lower shin but it’s not essential.

For massage, you can undress to the level you are comfortable with (underwear is kept on). As mentioned, I will leave the room whilst you change and get ready on the table. Most clients find it helpful to wear shorts so that the towel can be tucked into them if you specifically want work on the legs.

Again, please let me know if you have any questions regarding this.

  • This depends on a variety of factors. A single one-off treatment can have profound effects whilst others need a course of treatments. Getting to the root of long-term illness can take time, patience and commitment. Alongside the treatments, we can build a picture and plan of your wider health and lifestyle that suits you

For these reasons I have tried to keep my pricing as affordable as possible and will always recommend you to another therapist if I feel they are more suited.

  • Different areas will have different sensitivity and require different pressure. In general, some parts can be tender, hot, energetic and these can give sensations in other parts of the body. It should not be uncomfortably painful and I will check in with you on sensitive areas to make sure this is so. Many people grow sleepy and relaxed during the session and wake up at the end feeling revitalised.

  • There is nothing to prepare but try to avoid eating a large meal or having caffeine just before a session.

There are toilets at the clinics.
